The Acre Boomerang Hills, Mudgeeraba
Formerly known as The Acre Boomerang Farm, The Acre Boomerang Hills is one of Mudgeeraba's standout wedding venues.
Set amongst the tropical surrounds of the historic Boomerang Hills property, The Acre combines lush ceremony locations with a beautifully restored 1902 reception barn.
It feels wonderfully removed from the Gold Coast despite being only minutes from Mudgeeraba.
We've provided photo booths for weddings here over the years, and the reception setting is exactly the sort of environment where a booth works brilliantly.
Once dinner and speeches are finished and the celebration shifts into party mode, having the photo booth close to the bar and dancefloor allows it to become part of the natural flow of the night.
For the styling, we'd usually complement the venue rather than compete with it. Warm tones, greenery, neutrals or our Vintage Wooden Photo Booth can work particularly well with the character of the property.

Coolibah Downs Private Estate, Mount Nathan
Just north of Mudgeeraba, Coolibah Downs Private Estate is one of the Gold Coast Hinterland's best-known private wedding venues.
The ten-acre estate features lush gardens, water features, a beautiful stone chapel and an open-air marquee overlooking the grounds.
We've worked at Coolibah Downs over the years and it's a venue where a photo booth can provide a completely different experience from the beautiful professional wedding photography happening around the estate during the day.
As the reception gets underway, the booth gives guests somewhere to loosen up, get together and create the spontaneous photos that tend to become some of the funniest memories from the wedding.
The marquee also provides a beautiful environment for a booth. We'd generally recommend a clean, elegant setup that works with the wedding styling rather than introducing an unrelated theme.

A short drive into the Hinterland from Mudgeeraba takes you to Austinvilla Estate, an impressive 111-acre private estate surrounded by rolling hills, palms and natural landscape.
The property has purpose-designed ceremony and reception spaces as well as on-site accommodation, making it particularly suited to weddings where couples and guests want to settle in and make a real occasion of it.
We've taken ShutterPod photo booths to Austinvilla Estate over the years and love the contrast between the property's spectacular outdoor environment and the energy of the reception later in the evening.
During the day, the estate provides incredible opportunities for wedding photography.
Later, the photo booth takes over a different job.
It's where the bridal party comes back for the fifth time, grandparents get dragged into photos by the grandchildren, old friends pile into a shot together and you discover which guest has been quietly collecting a stack of photo strips all night.
